Star Tasmanian mare Mystic Journey has suffered a slight setback in her preparation for the Autumn carnival.
Trainer Adam Trinder has notified stewards the mare has suffered a soft tissue infection in her near for limb and will miss crucial days of trackwork as she nears a return to racing with her main Autumn aim being to defend her title in the $5m All Star Mile.
Mystic Journey was arguably a bit disappointing during her Spring campaign only winning one race from her four starts despite starting favourite on three occasions.
Mystic Journey won the PB Lawrence Stakes before defeats in the Makybe Diva Stakes, Turnbull Stakes and Cox Plate.
