Winx will be returning in her last campaign before retirement during the Autumn and she may face her toughest test to date with star colt Trapeze Artist set to take her on with fitness on his side.
Trapeze Artist proved himself as arguably the second best sprinter in the country behind Redzel in the Autumn last year winning both the G1 TJ Smith Stakes and G1 All Aged Stakes after taking out the Golden Rose as a three-year-old and he is set to take on Champion mare Winx second up in the Apollo Stakes.
Winx will be returning for her final campaign during the Autumn in which the plan is she will race in the Apollo Stakes first up which could prove to be her toughest test to date with Trapeze Artist heading into the race with fitness on his side and a distance edge of the Champ.
Trainer Gerald Ryan will aim his star colt at the TJ Smith Stakes and the All Aged Stakes once again during the Autumn and all going to plan he could be sent to the UK for the Royal Ascot carnival before stud duties.
Trapeze Artist is set to trial against Winx next week at Rosehill.
