SEN to swing the axe on newly acquired RSN

Victorian racing radio is set for a major shake-up as Craig Hutchison’s Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) prepares to take over RSN from September, following a $3.25 million acquisition.

As part of the overhaul, long-standing programs including Daniel Harford’s breakfast show and Michael Felgate’s Racing Pulse will be axed.

In their place, Gareth Hall’s Giddy Up will take over the racing news timeslot, while RSN listeners can also expect simulcasts of SEN’s popular breakfast shows hosted by AFL figures Kane Cornes, David King, Tim Watson and Garry Lyon.

The changes mark a significant shift in RSN’s programming focus as the Hutchison-led SEN aims to integrate racing with broader sports media coverage.
