The Victorian Racing Industry has announced the sale of its audio broadcaster RSN to Sports Entertainment Network (SEN), marking a new strategic partnership.
The long-term deal ensures RSN will continue broadcasting racing seven days a week, with SEN set to manage its operations alongside existing station SEN Track.
SEN has pledged to keep Victorian thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound racing at the centre of RSN’s coverage.
RSN will remain a key outlet for racing and sports news, catering to punters, owners, and participants.
The sale, due to be finalised by September 1, will provide the VRI — comprising Racing Victoria, Harness Racing Victoria, and Greyhound Racing Victoria — with a financial return and operational efficiencies.
VRI spokesman Aaron Morrison said: “We welcome the opportunity to partner with SEN, who see a strong future for the three codes of racing in Victoria.”
SEN CEO Craig Hutchison added: “RSN celebrates its 100th anniversary this year … we’re excited about what’s ahead.”
