Racing Victoria director Greg Nichols announces retirement

Racing Victoria director Greg Nichols has announced his retirement, concluding his 12-year tenure on March 31.

Nichols, who joined the RV board in 2012, boasts an illustrious racing career, including leadership roles in British Horseracing Board and South Australian Thoroughbred Racing Authority.

Serving as chairman of Racing.com and a director of Racing Australia, Nichols leaves a significant legacy in Australian racing.

RV credits Nichols for driving turnover, prizemoney, and club funding increases during his tenure.

Nichols expressed gratitude for his time on the RV board, acknowledging the collaborative efforts of stakeholders and staff.

Victorian Racing Minister Anthony Carbines will determine Nichols’ replacement, ensuring continuity in RV’s governance.
