Racing is scheduled to resume at Caulfield this Saturday for CF Orr Stakes Day, pending final approval from Glen Eira City Council.
The return follows extensive cleanup efforts after last monthโs arson attack on the Norman Robinson Grandstand, which led to significant damage.
A 51-year-old man has been charged with arson, trespass, and criminal damage, while Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) has worked to clear debris, smoke, and water residue.
The grandstand remains cordoned off, with emergency evacuation plans requiring council approval before racing can proceed.
While the Norman Robinson Grandstand remains unusable, temporary lawn installations will provide racegoers with alternative viewing areas, bars, and entertainment.
The Blue Diamond Preludes and CF Orr Stakes will go ahead as planned, with full restoration expected by Blue Diamond Stakes Day on February 22.
