CF Orr Stakes Information

The CF Orr Stakes is one of the feature WFA Sprint races in Melbourne, Australia held at Caulfield racecourse each year over 1400m. The race is at Group 1 level and boasts a total prize pool of $500,000.

The race is usually targeted by middle distance and staying horses first up who will be pressing on to further G1 Melbourne and Sydney G1’s however it is often won by specialist sprinters.

The main lead-up race is the Group 2 Australia Stakes although specialist sprinting horses going into the race fresh have a great record in recent years.

The 2020 CF Orr Stakes will be run on Saturday the 8th of February, 2020 at Caulfield racecourse.
