Kiwi trainer Graeme Rogerson has an audacious plan for Sharp ‘N’ Smart’s Melbourne Cup campaign.
The legendary trainer will accompany the super stayer to Australia, aiming to replicate Efficient’s 2007 victory.
While other trainers might opt for a conventional approach, Rogerson will bring a few trotters over as well, making his campaign a unique one.
With regular jockey Hugh Bowman set to ride Sharp ‘N’ Smart, the duo will target the Cox Plate or Caulfield Cup before taking on the Melbourne Cup.
The two-time Group 1 winner is currently rated as a $26 chance for the 2023 Melbourne Cup with TAB.
