A new and eagerly anticipated National Pony Racing Series was unveiled on Monday, promising to showcase the rising stars of the racing world on the prestigious Group 1 stage.
This collaborative venture between Thoroughbred Industry Careers and Pony Club Australia will commence next month in Brisbane and span across five states, including Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, and South Australia.
The series aims to provide a platform for 120 talented young riders to demonstrate their skills and forge connections between the equestrian and thoroughbred communities.
With qualifying races held at renowned venues like The Valley, Ascot, and Morphettville, the finals are set to take place at Sydney’s iconic Randwick racecourse during the Autumn Carnival in April.
The National Pony Racing Series not only seeks to promote the next generation of racing talent but also educate participants about thoroughbred welfare and life after racing.
Working in collaboration with ‘Kick Up For Racing,’ the series aims to deliver vital messages to the riders.
Each pony racer will proudly don sponsored racing colors, with notable names in Australian Racing, including Annabel Neasham Racing, Chris Waller Racing, and Godolphin, among others, showing their support.
This exciting development in the racing world has garnered significant anticipation, as it presents a unique opportunity for young riders to shine and captivate a new audience on the grand stage of Group 1 racing.
