Mr Brightside, a nine-time Group 1 winner, will headline a smaller-than-usual field in this Saturday’s Group 1 All-Star Mile.
The champion galloper, who will start from barrier five, will be partnered by Craig Williams.
Joining him in the field is Another Wil, who has drawn barrier one, with Jamie Melham in the saddle.
Futurity Stakes runner-up Tom Kitten will also feature, with Ben Melham riding from barrier four.
The expectation of a smaller field was flagged earlier this week by Racing.com, with Mr Brightside and Another Wil among the country’s top milers.
Mr Brightside’s impressive 2024 saw him achieve two international ratings of 120, ranking him in the top 35 horses worldwide.
Atishu and Tom Kitten, both Group 1 winners, are also set to run, with trainers Chris Waller and James Cummings fielding their champions. Meanwhile, connections of other hopefuls seem to be targeting more achievable wins.
Since its inception in 2019, the All-Star Mile has never had fewer than 14 starters, except for last year’s field of 12.
