Gai Waterhouse trained More Joyous has opened as the odds on favourite for Saturday’s Queen of The Turf Stakes at Rosehill where she will be looking to make it four straight group race victories.
Eleven time group winner ‘More Joyous’ will be looking to win her first Group 1 Queen of The Turf Stakes on Saturday after she was scratched from the race last year in which Typhoon Tracy won.
TAB Victoria has installed her as the odds on favourite after she dominated the males last start in the Canterbury Stakes where she was eased down to win by close to three lengths ahead of Love Conquers All who will run in Saturday’s George Ryder Stakes.
More Joyous has only lost once in her past twelve starts, that being in last years Cox Plate won by superstar So You Think and was definitely not disgraced finishing 5th.
Saturday she looks very well rated against her own sex and set weights and bookmakers agree opening her at $1.20 for the race and its expected punters will take these odds with the daughter of Sunday Joy beating second favourite Melito last time they met by 2.9L albeit over a year ago.
