Peter Moody stable stars are gearing up for their autumn campaigns

As one potential autumn hope of the Peter Moody stable is off to the paddock, the campaigns of others are beginning to ramp up.

After a four-run campaign that began in October and netted three wins, including one at Flemington, Invincible Caviar has been turned out for a break.

The Moody stable had considered a start for Invincible Caviar in the Group 3 Standish Handicap (1200m) at Flemington last Saturday.

“She’s done a big job this preparation and is always one that we have taken our time with,” Moody’s assistant-trainer Katherine Coleman said.

“The Standish was considered for her, but she was at the backend of the campaign, so we decided to stay on the safe side and tip her out.”

While Invincible Caviar will be missing from the main autumn action, Boogie Dancer, Chain Of Lightning and I Wish I Win have had their work ramped up ahead of a potential jump-out next week.

Coleman said no specific plans had been put in place for the trio.

“We’re pretty open with where we might go with Chain Of Lightning,” Coleman said.

“We’ll see how she comes through her first jump-out and then she’ll probably have a follow up jump-out and then we’ll assess options from there and map out her exact program.

“The All-Star Mile could be an option I Wish I Win, but we may keep them for more short-course races.”

Chain Of Lightning won six of her first seven starts and at start number eight finished 14th behind I Wish I Win in the Golden Eagle (1500m) at Rosehill in October.

Coleman has not ruled out a preparation in Sydney for Boogie Dancer who excelled on wet tracks during the spring, winning the Group 2 Thousand Guineas Prelude (1400m) at Caulfield and finishing fourth in the Group 1 Thousand Guineas (1600m).

“I don’t think she necessarily needs the wet tracks,” Coleman said.

“We’re keen to get her on a decent surface instead of being on the heavy during the spring.”

After a set-back, Incentivise continues his pre-training with Lee Evison before his return to the Moody stables at Pakenham.

He’s pleasing and doing everything right and hopefully he keeps going that way,” Coleman said.
