Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne has been stood down by stewards after reportedly returning a positive sample to banned substance Phentermine.
Phentermine an appetite suppressant and banned substance was found in a sample taken from Michelle Payne at the Swan Hill Cup meeting on 11th June 2017 which was reported by Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL).
Ms Payne was stood down from riding in races and trackwork by Stewards on 23 June 2017 ahead of an inquiry tomorrow, 29 June 2017.
Michelle Payne became the first female jockey to ride a Melbourne Cup winner in 2015 aboard Prince Of Penzance.
The inquiry will commence at 11am.
