Michelle Payne not allowed to ride in NSW

Melbourne Cup winning jockey Michelle Payne has been told she is not allowed to race ride in NSW.

Payne who recently received a dual license to train and ride will not be allowed to do so in NSW as Racing NSW do not allow dual licenses.

Michelle has been told she is allowed to train runners in NSW but will not be allowed to race ride.

Payne took to social media to voice her opinion on the decision:

Rulings:

Racing NSW rules say @mj_payne can train a runner in that state but isn’t permitted to ride a horse. Racing NSW don’t issue dual licenses.
