After a two-month hiatus, jockey Luke Nolen is poised for his racing comeback this Friday night.
Nolen, a 39-time Group 1 winner, will ride Linas Reel, a 3-year-old gelding trained by Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman, in the Ladbrokes Southside Challenge.
His absence stemmed from injuries sustained in a trackwork fall in early February, including back and pelvis injuries, internal bleeding, and a broken rib.
Following surgery and a gradual recovery, Nolen returned to ride at Pakenham jumpouts on March 19.
While initially aiming to ride I Wish I Win in the G1 TJ Smith Stakes, Nolen acknowledged his ongoing recovery limitations, opting out of the race.
His return marks a significant milestone in his journey back to the saddle, with hopes high for a successful comeback.
