Boom filly Libertini will not head towards the Flight Stakes or the Thousand Guineas after her defeat in the Tea Rose on the weekend.
Libertini who started as the odds on favourite in the Tea Rose Stakes at Randwick on Saturday failed to run out a strong 1400m prompting trainer Anthony Cummings to reconsider her Spring targets.
Cummings has opted to give his star filly a short break and target the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington in Victoria Derby day instead of continuing onto the G1 Flight Stakes and/or the G1 Thousand Guineas which are both run over 1600m.
