One of the leading contenders in The Everest this weekend Lost And Running is in doubt to line-up in the race.

Lost And Running who is currently a $7 chance with online bookmaker swiftbet will have to pass a vet examination on Saturday morning before being allow to start in the $15m sprint.

John O’Shea reported to RNSW Stewards this afternoon that Lost And Running has developed a skin irritation to the inside of the off-hind fetlock joint. The horse will be examined by RNSW Chief Vet, Dr Peter Curl on Sat to ensure the gelding is suitable to start in Sat’s Everest
