Jockey Luke Currie has been taken to Geelong hospital following a fall on Xilong in the eight event on the Geelong Cup meeting.
Update: Doctors at Geelong Hospital have cleared Luke Currie of any injuries following his fall.
Luke Currie was aboard race favourite Xilong in the eight race on Wednesday’s Geelong card when she played up in the stalls causing Currie to fall.
Xilong was scratched from the race and Luke Currie was taken to Geelong hospital for precautionary scans.
Luke Currie only recently returned from a serious injury after fracturing his C6 and C7 vertebrae and breaking ribs in a fall at Moonee Valley in February.
Currie is booked to ride Hey Doc in Friday nights Manikato Stakes and Fierce Impact in Saturday’s Cox Plate.
