Isotope has sprouted wings late to win the Listed Gold Edition Plate
Boom three-year-old filly Isotope could not have been more impressive in a narrow win in the Listed Gold Edition Plate at Doomben.
Isotope was sent out as the $1.50 heavily backed favourite with Sportsbet and she made punters earn their money leaving it to the last stride to run down Magic Millions Classic winner Away Game.
The Gold Edition Plate was touted as a match race between the two star fillies and the market was right with the pair going to the line locked together after Away Game gave a kick early in the straight but could not hold off the fast finishing Isotope.
The pair are set to meet again in a few weeks time with the two heading towards the Magic Millions Guineas where Isotope is now the $3.50 favourite in early markets.
Away Game also firmed in 2021 Magic Millions Guineas markets shortening from $8 into $6 with the TAB.
