Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the $2 million Inglis Millennium (1100m) at Royal Randwick.

Chad Schofield (Xtravagant Star): “It was very painless, really. She was first to leave the machines. Pre-race I thought we may have to drop her in as there was a bit of speed on our inside but she was way too fast and cleared them easily.

“I had a perfect run with cover throughout, Gai’s horse led and gave me a lovely cart into it while Sweet Ride held the rail so she travelled very well with the cover.

“I hit the front a long way from home so for a Melbourne two-year-old filly it was a good effort, she was strong to the line.”

James McDonald (Paris Dior): “Super run. Had a lovely run in the race. They just went a little slow to get over the eventual winner but good run.”

Jason Collett (Sejardan): “Great run. Wasn’t the tempo that was anticipated on paper. Sat wide but stuck on well.”

Jamie Kah (El Padrino): “Really good, Very happy.”

Tommy Berry (Calgary Stampede): “When he came out a little bit slow it was always going to be tough for him. Got held up at the top of the straight but was happy with how he was through the line.”

Jean Van Overmeire (Sweet Ride): “Nice run, really nice run. Very pleased with him. Is only going to keep improving.”

Tim Clark (Athletica): “He ran well with improvement to come.”

Hugh Bowman (Boldinho): “Well below par today.”

Regan Bayliss (Pomade): “Not this prep.”

Josh Parr (Zambezi River): “Left just none the wiser after that performance.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Emperor): “Over-raced a bit. Did it upside down.”

Sam Clipperton (The Wizard King): “Not good enough.”

Tom Sherry (Fire And Ice): “Was always tricky from the alley. Got back but made up really good ground in the straight. He’s still learning but I was really pleased with him.”

Rachel King (Vaderzan): “Really nice run. Just a little bit sharp for him.”

Jay Ford (Russian Assassin): “Not too bad, obviously drew the outside gate having his first start so will improve.”

Robbie Dolan (The Seven Seas): “Hit the line very well. Could be one to watch out for later in the season.”
