Former Group 1 Emirates Stakes winner and clerk of the course horse at Warrnambool ‘Tears I Cry’ has sadly passed away overnight aged 15.
Tears I Cry won the 2007 Emirates Stakes in what was one of the biggest upsets in Spring Carnival history having previously raced at Rating 80’s races.
Tears I Cry had 57 starts for 10 wins and amassed over $900,000 in earnings.
Sad news on the passing of Group 1 winner Tears I Cry… wonderful horse who spent time doing Clerk duties at Warrnambool for trainer Anne McGrath. Sad day for the family but Tears I Cry provided Anne and the family so many great highlights. pic.twitter.com/DxJOyC20sf
