It has been confirmed that star jockey Dwayne Dunn will miss the spring carnival after breaking his C6 vertebrae on Saturday when his mount Shot Of Irish reared in the barriers and the jockey smashed his head against the stalls.
Dunn was transported to RM hospital for scans on his neck after he hit his head on the barrier stall at Moonee Valley on Saturday which revealed he had fractured his C6 vertebrae.
Dunn does not require surgery but he will be in a neck brace, according to Racing.com.
