John Zielke is convinced Dreams APlenty can extend his winning streak to five

A glowing blood count report for Dreams APlenty has trainer John Zielke convinced the gelding can extend his winning streak to five.

Dreams APlenty will face his toughest task this campaign when he meets a class field in Saturday’s Group Three Fred Best Classic (1400m) at Eagle Farm.

Zielke has given Dreams APlenty a freshen-up since the gelding won the Group Three Gunsynd Stakes at Eagle Farm on April 29.

“He has been going along nicely. I got his blood done earlier this week and got the report back which was outstanding,” Zielke said.

“I always like to check my horses’ blood before they race and the report was Dreams APlenty had never been better.

“He has a good barrier, likes the track and can handle the wet. What more can I say.”

Zielke said he would be interested to see how some of the visiting horses handled the new Eagle Farm surface.

“Some horses like Dreams APlenty handle it while others just don’t go a metre.” he said.

“I reckon a few of the visitors will be labouring in the last 200 metres.”

The Fred Best is a ballot-free race for the Group One Stradbroke Handicap on June 10 but Zielke has no such plans for Dreams Aplenty.

“He will run in the Queensland Guineas on Stradbroke day. Then we will decide whether to press on to the Sunshine Coast Guineas,” Zielke said.

Zielke is also excited ahead of Ruby Red Heart’s Group Two debut in the BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes (1400m).

“I have always said the best of her will be at 1400 to 1600 metres,” he said.

All going well, Ruby Red Heart will head to the Group One J J Atkins (1600m) after Saturday.
