Yaseer could have his next start in the Dante at York on May 12.
Marcus Tregoning’s Dansili colt ran well in the Craven, finishing two and a quarter lengths behind impressive winner Native Khan.
Not technically a three-year-old until May 26, Tregoning hopes he will continue to progress as the season unwinds.
“He’s a super horse. I think if we rode the race again we’d probably have tracked the winner because I think our horse is better finding his stride rather than trying to force it,” Tregoning said.
“We’ve learned not to do that now and he’ll be better ridden for speed, perhaps.
“He’ll be stepping up in trip. He is in the Dante and that may be where he’ll go, possibly.
“He’s a very nice horse. He’s a late foal, though, and that always has to be reckoned with.
“You can get a few good runs out of them early but sometimes they just need a bit of time to catch up.
“I’ve been very pleased with him recently. He did his first bit of work back this morning and it was very pleasing.”
