Jockey Damien Oliver is set to ride Vibrant Sun in the Thousand Guineas at Caulfield this Saturday, as confirmed by his manager, Mark Van Triet.
The filly, trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jr, has recently risen in prominence following a significant win at Geelong.
This victory, where Vibrant Sun won by eight lengths, resulted in her odds for the Thousand Guineas dropping from $201 to $51 with online bookmakers.
Oliver, aiming for his sixth victory in this race, brings a wealth of experience to Vibrant Sun’s campaign.
In addition to the Thousand Guineas, Oliver will participate in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes, wearing the Godolphin royal blue.
It’s yet to be determined which horse he will ride from James Cummings’ stable, with Vilana, Golden Mile, and Tamerlane being potential options.
This decision is expected to be made closer to the race day.
