Champion trainer Ciaron Maher will establish his New South Wales headquarters at Crown Lodge, taking over the renowned Warwick Farm training complex previously occupied by Godolphin.
The move marks a significant expansion for the powerhouse stable and will see Maher relocate his Sydney operation from Leilani Lodge over the coming months.
Crown Lodge is regarded as one of Australia’s premier racing facilities and has been the base for many of Godolphin’s biggest Australian successes.
Maher said the opportunity to secure the famous training centre was an exciting milestone for the stable.
“Crown Lodge is one of the great training facilities in this country, with a history that speaks for itself,” Maher said.
“Warwick Farm is where our Sydney story started, so coming home and taking on a stable like this means a great deal to us.
“It gives us a world class base to keep delivering the very best for our owners and their horses, and we can’t wait to write the next chapter.”
The transition will occur progressively as Maher’s team settles into the new facility.
The stable will also move on from its well-known Bong Bong Farm property as part of the restructure, although its Bob’s Beach training operation will continue to play a role within the broader business.
The acquisition of Crown Lodge further strengthens Maher’s presence in Sydney and provides the stable with one of the most prestigious training bases in Australian racing.
With operations already spanning Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, the move reinforces Maher’s position as one of the dominant forces in Australian thoroughbred racing.
