James McDonald (Verry Elleegant): “I’ve been in those scenarios before with her. She seems to come out on top more times than not. I knew once she was on, that last 100m the tough would get going. Very proud of the mare. I have a soft spot for her. I just hope, well I know as the distances get further she will get better.”
“She is definitely riding really strongly. Remember she is coming back off a two mile campaign, she won a Caulfield Cup and doing what she is doing over these shorter trips. It’s very exciting what is in store. I think she is even coping with that firmer ground even better now. She is adapting to that.”
Hugh Bowman (Kolding): “Very brave. I’m proud of him.”
Nash Rawiller (Avilius): “Awesome run. I left them alone early and he was always going to lack that run against the others as they’ve had a run. Gee he was good.”
Jason Collett (Southern France): “Good return. Take good benefit from that.”
Tommy Berry (Master Of Wine): “He is going great. That was a beautiful first up run from him obviously looking toward further so he ran on well.”
Tom Marquand (Prince Fawaz): “He travelled nicely to the top of the straight. A few of those are a bit better than him . Might take him a couple of runs to get completely hard fit where he was.”
Rachel King (Colette): “Massive again. Can’t fault her.”
Glen Boss (Funstar): “She was outstanding. She has raced great second up in the past but I feel there is a bit more condition on her this preparation. She feels stronger so there might be a length, half length improvement in her. Looks like she is going to have a great prep.”
Brenton Avdulla (Toffee Tongue): “I was disappointed in her. She had a lovely run in behind the winner She struggled to quicken from then on. I would have liked to see a bit more.”
