Champion sprinter Chautauqua’s brother has hit the line strongly to run third in his debut at scone on Thursday.
Rouchel was a little tardy away much like his older half brother but showed glimpses of his finishing sectionals to run on into third behind Magnalane.
Chautauqua finished second in his first two career starts at Seymour and Kyneton before breaking through at Geelong.
Rouchel was heavily backed with bookmakers shortening from $4.40 into $1.90 with Ladbrokes.
