The racing days of the smart 3YO OLE KIRK (Written Tycoon – Naturale) are over.
The dual Gr 1 winner who looked to have the world at his feet this campaign, has failed to flatter at his past two starts and the decision has been made to retire him.
At just 3 years of age he bows out the winner of three races and five placings from 11 starts and $2,159,100.
He will stand at Vinery Stud, in the Hunter region of NSW.
Ole Kirk last time up won the Gr $1million Golden Rose beating North Pacific and then the Gr 1 Caulfield Guineas over a mile beating Aysar.
But at his past two starts, he failed in the Gr 1 Futurity at WFA and then again he put in an inglorious performance when 10th behind the $301 chance Lunar Fox in the Australian Guineas. Last Saturday.
