Hanseatic will be ridden by Tim Clark after an incident at Moonee Valley ruled Luke Currie out
The plum Gr 1 ride on Hanseatic at Caulfield this afternoon is up for grabs following the fall on Friday night suffered by his rider Luke Currie.
And the really annoying part, the fall occurred AFTER the very last race. It was after the field had crossed the line.
Currie, who has been undefeated on the wonder colt Hanseatic (Street Boss-Itameri) suffered concussion and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital after the heavy fall.
He has been stood down and cannot take the coveted ride today in the $1.5m Blue Diamond Stakes now.
Currie also had two other rides that he will have to hand over.
Tim Clark this morning has been announced as the new rider for Hanseatic who is trained by Anthony Freedman.
