Black Caviar could have as many as eight Group One winners as rivals when she makes her Sydney debut at Randwick on Saturday.
When TJ Smith Stakes nominations closed on Monday, 14 sprinters were entered for the $1 million weight-for-age sprint.
Black Caviar is set to have her first start outside Victoria in the Group One feature.
She is unbeaten in 11 starts in her home state but it seems there is no shortage of equine talent willing to try their luck against the box office galloper.
Black Caviar broke through for her first Group One success in the Patinack Farm Classic during the Melbourne spring carnival.
Her autumn record includes more Group One success in the Lightning Stakes, Newmarket Handicap and William Reid Stakes.
Group One winners nominated for the TJ Smith include All Silent, Alverta, last year’s Golden Slipper winner Crystal Lily, her stablemate Response, Hay List, Triple Honour and the 2010 AJC Australian Derby winner Shoot Out.
