Champion mare Arcadia Queen has officially been sold to Arrowfield Stud in a deal completed on Thursday for $3.2million.
Arcadia Queen was passed in at the Magic Millions broodmare sale on Tuesday for $3.4million with owner Bob Peters wanting $4million for his prized mare however that figure could not be negotiated and she was sold on Thursday afternoon for $200,000 less than her hammer price.
Arrowfield Stud’s Paul Messara said that stallion Dundeel was one of the likely sires to serve Arcadia Queen in her first season, although no decision had been made.
