
Queensland star Alligator Blood has topped the polling for the second edition of the $5 million All-Star Mile which will be raced at Caulfield this year.
The top 10 vote getters who have secured spots in the rich race at Caulfield on March 14 were revealed on Thursday, headed by star three-year-old Alligator Blood, while five spots are still to be determined which will make up the 15-horse field.
The first 10 horses to gain places through the public vote, in order are:
1- Alligator Blood (QLD, Trainer – David Vandyke) – 18,502 Votes
2- Melody Belle (NZ, Jamie Richards) – 11,898 Votes
3- Kolding (NSW, Chris Waller) – 10,731
4- Star Missile (VIC, Greg Eurell) – 10,439 Votes
5- Dalasan (SA, Leon Macdonald and Andrew Gluyas) – 10,020 Votes
6- Catalyst (NZ, Clayton Chipperfield) – 7480 Votes
7- Mr Quickie (VIC, Phillip Stokes) – 5608 Votes
8- Aristia (VIC, Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra) – 5409 Votes
9- Heart of Puissance (VIC, Ciaron Maher and Dave Eustace) – 5212 Votes
