The Moonee Valley Racing Club have announced the official time and date for this years Cox Plate which will share the same day as the AFL Grand Final.
The MVRC have announced the 2020 Cox Plate will be run on AFL Grand Final day being the 24th October with the start time at 4:15PM with the AFL GF to be played at 7:30PM so that there will be no clash between the two feature sporting events.
“The MVRC is delighted to confirm that Ladbrokes Cox Plate 100 will be run at 4:15 pm (AEDT) at The Valley on Saturday 24 October” MVRC CEO Michael Browell said.
“With the announcement that the 2020 AFL Grand Final will be held at 7.30 pm (AEDT), we will now work closely with our broadcast partner Channel 7 to deliver a spectacular coverage of an incredible and historic day in Australian sport”
