A routine stable inspection saw the Compliance Assurance Team confiscate a substance that trainer Brian Cox refused to identify.
Acting under the provisions of AR8(m), Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Cox’s runners at Wangaratta on Thursday; Shez A Tornado, Mr Coyne, Mr Barker and Ballerina Dancer.
Victorian stewards have opened an inquiry into the incident with a date to be announced.
