A late scratching at Randwick has caused a bit of a social media stir with many thinking it was due to a bias in the track.
Trainer David Payne was allowed to scratch his horse Montefilia following the start of the meeting in what looked to be due to the leader bias shown in the first two races.
Trainers are not allowed to scratch horses based on track bias which resulted in racing fans kicking up a bit of a stir saying the ‘unusual’ scratching should not have been allowed.
The stir on social media resulted in Racing NSW providing another update on the reasoning for the scratching.
