Railway Stakes Day is known in 2013 as Carlton Draught Super Saturday, with two Group 1 races to look forward to in Perth’s biggest day of thoroughbred racing.  Hosted at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday the 23rd of November, Railway Stakes Day is the most anticipated horse racing event in Western Australia each season.  Along with the Group 1 Railway Stakes, the day also includes the Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes, supporting events, and a range of non-racing attractions.

There are a total of 9 races held on the day, with the first race run at 12.00pm and the last race at 5.30pm.  The Tattersall’s Cup is the longest race of the day at 2100
metres, with all other events ranging from 1000 metres to 1600 metres.  The Winterbottom Stakes is being run at 4.05pm, with the Railway Stakes run at 4.50pm.
