The feature race at Wyong this week is the Wyong Cup (2100m), with the betting suggesting there are several genuine winning chances.

1. Eliyass: Has earned the weight being the clear class runner. Got front end control last start and got the win. Think he’ll get something similar this time around but the 62kg impost has to be a genuine query.
2. Matusalem: Matusalem steps up to 2100m after racing over 2000m in the Premier’s Cup where he kept finding the line from off speed when third to Boniface. Extra 100m should be fine, does no work from the draw and gets J Mac.
3. Bella Montagna: Bella Montagna is a GaiBott trained mare that resumes, I dare say with eyes on The Metropolitan. She last raced in the Brisbane Cup when struggling on the bog behind Alalcance. She is a mare who can sprint well fresh and her trial work has been encouraging.
4. Age Of Sail: Forgive/Forget the Premiers Cup Prelude behind Eliyass in what was pretty much a barrier trial. Think he has eyes on two weeks time and the Newcastle Cup.
5. Elliptical: Sit/Sprint set up in the Premiers Cup wasn’t to his liking but he kept on in a pretty good effort. Knocking on the door…just not sure he has the killer blow to win here.
6. Anythink Goes: Anythink Goes ran second in the Prelude. He got off speed and seemingly had his chance but battled away really well in defeat behind Captain Fenkel. Doubt he wins but he can run first four at a price.
7. Charleroi: SCR
8. Steel Blaze: Better suited in something easier.
9. Mr Fabulous: SCR
