Winx to help Waller to Group 1 crown

Chris Waller is the $1.50 favourite with Sportsbet to claim his seventh Group 1 winning trainer title ahead of Melbourne maestro Darren Weir ($2.50).

Seven-time Melbourne premiership winning jockey, Craig Williams, is $1.85 to make it eight.

Damian Lane ($3.00) and Damien Oliver ($7.00) are next in betting.

Jockey James McDonald returned from an enforced holiday this year and is the $3.00 second favourite, behind Brenton Avdulla ($2.60), to claim the Sydney title.
