Birthday girl Winx chases a record third consecutive George Main Stakes at Randwick tomorrow and Sportsbet figures show that support for the wonder mare continues to grow.
When Winx won the race in 2016 she was the $1.10 favourite and attracted 1,364 bets and the online bookmaker paid out $354,986. The biggest bet was $60,000, the smallest two cents.
Last year Winx was slightly better odds with one punter wagering $30,000 at $1.16. The bet count more than doubled (2767) and turnover was $518,760. She is $1.12 to win tomorrow and big and small punters alike are again backing Winx to record her 27th consecutive win and notch her 20th Group 1 success.
