The Willie Pike factor will once again be in full force in the feature race of the day, the G1 Winterbottom Stakes.
The leading WA jockey has chosen to ride Stageman in the Winterbottom Stakes on Saturday and punters are following him in with the horse heavily backed from $16 into the current price of $9.50 with bookies expecting more money to flow in for the Adam Durrant trained galloper.
Pike rode Regal Power to win the Railway Stakes last weekend at a big price and punters think that could be replicated today, which has seen race favourite Trekking drift slightly from his lowest quote of $2..50 back out to his opening price of $2.70.
Outside of Trekking and Stageman no other runners have had any serious support with a little bit of money for Flirtini and Dubious.
