Akzar has had three runs back from a seven month spell for trainer Darren Weir and looks set know to produce his best.
He was lugged with 60kgs last start (56kgs here) when fifth (3.2 lengths) to Averau in Open company at Flemington a fortnight ago.
Punters think the return to a mile will be offset by the weight drop and good gate and with fitness over most of his rivals will go close.
Akzar has been the best backed runner in early betting with his odds into $6.50 from $8.50.
