1. Tempesti: First up 2000m signals intent, as well as three jumpouts. If he brings his absolute best, I do think he’s a great each way gamble.
2. Shaiyhar: Odds on chance if he brought his best but the jury looks well and truly out on how well he is going.
3. Newlook: Had Cups aspirations in the Spring but didn’t fire in three runs and was spelled. Three jumpouts under the belt, I’d watch betting.

5. Ashy Boy: Doesn’t run beyond 2000m so that is why he is here and didn’t contest the Hobart/Launceston Cups. Maps to do no work but not quite sure he has the class.
6. Expeetee: Game in defeat at Caulfield Heath but not up to these.
7. Gregolimo: Looked all over the winner of the Colac Cup but was nabbed near the peg by Active Duty. Tick over jumpout was good, he’ll press forward and run very well.
8. Make It Sweet: Far from disgraced behind Suntora at Caulfield last start and this looks more within her reach. Live threat.
9. New York Hurricane: Came with a well timed run in the Camperdown Cup last time but just missed. Looks suited up to 2000m and has good upside to come.
10. Slane: Down the track behind Suntora in the race mentioned above. This looks easier, but I can’t entertain him.
11. Sir Davy: Plain at Seymour last Friday and looks outclassed.
12. Sea Strike: Just a win at Kyneton last start and while the trip is no issue, class will be.
