Winx dominates Cox Plate and Japan Cup markets
Her main diet consists of oats and chaff, but for superstar mare Winx, the world is her oyster.
Winx is currently $1.20 favourite with sportsbet to win her third consecutive Cox Plate on Saturday week but where to after that?
Trainer Chris Waller this week nominated Winx for next month’s Japan Cup.
The online bookmaker is offering lucrative odds of $2.00 to win the Cup and will refund the wager if she does not go to Japan.
A trip to Britain is also in the mix and Winx is $3.50 to win any race at Royal Ascot during 2018.
Punters are used to taking short odds about the mare, but Winx is $9.00 to win the Prince Of Wales Stakes, at Ascot, behind the $6.00 favourite Enable.
“Winx could probably win on the moon if they raced there, so Japan or Britain would be a piece of cake for the champion,’’ saidsportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
