The final Group l of the 2024/25 racing season comes around this Saturday, with the Tatts Tiara (1400m) highlighting a nine race Eagle Farm card.

2025 Tatts Tiara Runner Preview:
1. Semana: She wants to be a mum. She’s had enough.
2. Grinzinger Belle: She’s very dangerous if she’s here to play, and the set up says yes given she is first up in a Group l, her likely swan song and does get a gun front running rider in Tim Clark to steer. I think she’ll run a beauty.
3. Konasana: Konasana is a very interesting runner. Quality mare for Chris Waller that resumed two weeks back in the Dane Ripper where the market said she wasn’t there to play and ran accordingly behind Floozie. Much better second up horse and she’ll be strong late, so don’t dismiss her.
4. Olentia: I want to find a spot for her. But gee she was plain in the Dane Ripper and for a mare that is so reliable first up, that run concerns me leading into this.
5. Firestorm: Firestorm looks primed here. She resumed in the Dane Ripper off a freshen up and just gave the vibe that the Dane Ripper was a tune up for this, closing off really well late. Fitter, she’ll be within range and have the finale to launch late.
6. Coeur Volante: If they push the button and settle forward, gee she is right in the mix. Wasn’t there to play in the Dane Ripper but was good late. Positive ride here, I think she’ll run well and is a massive price.
7. Bubba’s Bay: Ripping mare but she won’t run 1400m.
8. Abounding: I think she is unders. I was keen on her running well in the Dane Ripper and yes, the pattern was against her, but I thought she was entitled to finish her race off better. Jury is out for mine and can’t entertain her.
9. Coco Sun: Would be some effort to win this first up for a staying mare but I am not sure she is 100% ready to go.
10. Floozie: Map says yes…but surely not? She fell in to win the Silk Stocking and was much the same in the Dane Ripper. There will be class Mares gunning her down and as good as she has been this prep, I don’t think she has room for improvement.
11. Infancy: Nearly would be top seed if this was 1200m. But 1400m…I say no.
12. Adiella: SCR
13. Tashi: Tashi is bursting to win a race. Just the query being 1400m. She ran in the Dane Ripper and looked all over the winner when presented but couldn’t quite get past Floozie. I think with the right run in transit, 1400m is fine and she appeals.
14. Zaszou: Got a 12/10 ride to win the Helen Coughlan, albeit the margin was narrow. Like the rise in trip for her…just not sure about the class.
15. Coco Jamboo: She is flying I think but has just had no luck at all. Latest run was Dane Ripper when back and couldn’t get involved. Blinkers on, there is intent and is clearly good enough.
16. Arctic Glamour: Zero intent. Proper zero intent in the Dane Ripper so forget the run. But, when she has run at the high level, there has been intent and she has run really well. Her best is clearly good enough.
17. El Morzillo: Ridden a touch warm in the Dane Ripper I thought but battled away really well. I think with a more patient steer, a bunny to chase, she’s got the finale to explode and win.
18. Exotique Miss (First Emergency): Solid mare that is racing well. Just not up to these.
19. Appin Girl (Second Emergency): Solid effort in the Hinkler but this is much harder.
20. Just Feelin Lucky (Third Emergency): SCR
21. Queen Of Dragons (Fourth Emergency): SCR
22. Gumdrops (Fifth Emergency): SCR

There looks to be only one speed horse, but that speed horse loves to roll in front. I speak of Grinzinger Belle and you’d think first up, potentially her swan song, she is going out all guns blazing. Exotique Miss settles handy. Floozie gets the suck run. Semana may come across, as does Tashi and El Morzillo potentially. Coeur Volante could push the button from the wide gate.
