Popular West Australian jockey William Pike is set to excite punters in Victoria when he suits up to ride at the TAB Warrnambool Racing Carnival in May.
Pike, who is extremely popular with TAB punters (see below graph) will be attending the Carnival thanks to TAB as the official sponsor of one of the most iconic racing carnivals.
It will be only the second time Pike has attended the Warrnambool Carnival, the last time in 2007, where he rode two winners from 16 rides.
“For the past decade William Pike has been one of the most iconic jockeys in the country. He is much loved by the Eastern state TAB customers so we are delighted that he will be attending the Warrnambool Carnival for only the second time,” said TAB’s Nick Quinn.
“It has been over a decade since I’ve been at Warrnambool and I’m really excited to come back, it’s one of the best carnivals on the calendar. I’ve got some great memories. I had two winners there last time and hopefully I can get a few more this year and give the punters something to cheer for,” said Pike.
The carnival kicks off on Tuesday, 30th April with races and off-track festivities running through until Thursday, 2nd May.
