Gun sprinter Overpass is the Ladbrokes.com.au favourite for the feature race at Ascot on Saturday, the Winterbottom Stakes (1200m).
A previous winner of the race, he returns to Perth after a plain run in the Champions Sprint and looks primed for another Western assault. He is favourite at $2.80 with betting sites online.
Western Empire is on the second line of betting at $4.50, narrowly ahead of Lady Laguna at $4.80.
