The Stradbroke Handicap winner Tofane remains favourite to rack up back-to-back Group One victories despite drawing barrier 14 for Saturday’s Sky Racing Tattersall’s Tiara at Eagle Farm.
Not for the first time at this year’s Queensland Carnival it was a tough draw for the top fancies. Tofane drifted from $4.60 to $4.80, Savatiano (barrier 16) moved from $8 to $9 after being $6 on Monday, Odeum (barrier 15) went from $7 to $7.50, while Brooklyn Hustle (barrier 12) drifted from $8.50 to $9.
Subpoenaed has been the early mover after drawing barrier two and tightening from $14 into $10 after opening at $16.
After a nine and a half length win at Ipswich on Saturday, exciting stayer Incentivise can further enhance his reputation heading onto the Melbourne Spring. He is $1.40 to claim the Tattersall’s Cup and has drawn barrier six.
