The winner of the race this weekend gets a free ticket into the Melbourne Cup, and this race has been a good form reference for the Cup in recent years. Interpretation was purchased from overseas with the Cup in mind and is favourite for the weekend, sitting at $6.
Adelaide Cup winner Daqiansweet Junior is on the second line of beting at $7, sitting alongside Spanish Mission, already secured a Cup start. Desert Icon, Durston and Point Nepean are next best at $10.
