Spring is certainly in the air with 6 group races across Melbourne and Sydney this weekend.
The running of the Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m Group 2) is the highlight of Cox Plate preview day at Moonee Valley on Saturday. With a host of Cox Plate contenders including Mic Mac, Whobegotyou, El Segundo and Singapore raider Jolie’s Shinju involved, it is sure to be a pointer of things to come.
The Sprinters step out in the McEwen Stakes (1000m Group 3) with track specialists Lucky Secret and Secret Flyer amongst the acceptances. The Stocks Stakes (1600m Group 2) for Mares also features on what looks a great day of racing.
In Sydney the attention turns to Rosehill for another 3 group races.
The main event is the Theo Marks Stakes (1400m Group 2) Veteran Racing to Win joins rising stars Dreamscape and Rock Kingdom in what looks a quality field. The Research Stakes (1200m Group 3) see’s ultra consistent mare Hot Danish up against a host of challengers including the lightly raced Madame Pedrille.  The Kingston Town Stakes (2000m Group 3) is the final group race of the day and should top of a brilliant Saturday in Sydney.
